# Scams and impersonation

Scammers copy wallet brands to steal funds. A few simple rules keep you safe.

## What we will never do

Zidee and Zirodelta will **never**:

* Ask for your private key, seed phrase or password.
* Message you first, in Discord DMs or anywhere else.
* Ask you to "verify", "sync" or "validate" your wallet on a website.
* Ask you to send funds to unlock, recover or claim anything.

If someone does any of these, it is a scam, even if their name and picture look official.

Check the address bar before you sign in. If a link takes you anywhere else, close it.

## Common scams

* **Fake support.** Someone replies to your question or sends you a DM offering help. We never message you first, and we never ask for your key.
* **Fake rewards or airdrops.** Messages saying you can "claim your rewards" through a link. Holder rewards are paused and there is nothing to claim through outside links. See [Not available yet](/good-to-know/not-available-yet.md).
* **Fund recovery for a fee.** Nobody can recover funds sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address, and anyone who charges for it is lying.
* **Look-alike apps and sites.** Copies with a similar name or logo. Only use the links above.

## If something feels wrong

Stop and do not approve anything. Ask in our [Discord](https://discord.gg/wSseuK26pH) and report the account that contacted you.

If you think someone has your private key, create a new wallet somewhere you trust and move your funds there as fast as you can.
